Emotions in life are always intertwined within “reception” and “farewell”.
Sarah’s biggest fear of life is seeing her parents age and wither. “Retreating Figure” by Zhu Zi Qing (a renowned Chinese poet and essayist) enlightened her about the somber of seeing parents off. While Lung Ying Tai (a renowned Taiwanese essayist) taught her about the sorrow of parents sending their beloved children away. However, her difficult labor ended these two utmost fears of hers. She was given one last chance to relive her life and she finally realized about how blind she once was even she can see, and how stupid she was to miss all the precious moments in life.
